How Might We improve interactions between wealth management advisors and clients in a shared digital space?
Secondary Research
Now this is where our Data Scientists come in
Before we can manifest any tangible designs, we need to conduct effective research, which is crucial to the Design Thinking process. Through our powerful Data Science team, they were able to break down useful data.
After being able to set up our Data team as best as we can within our time constraint, we were able to align on our scope, which helped gather the following data needed to drive our solutions.
Ideation through Sketching
Rapid fire sketching sessions
Working under such a strict time constraint turned out to act as a motivator to complete some of the sketches needed to push towards the final design.
We didn’t have much time to overthink our ideas after some thorough UI inspiration thus, the UX team was able to create a detailed sketch outline to help bring our ideas to life.

Teamwork made the dream work
Questionnaire
Through auditing ScotiaBank’s mobile app, we noticed that the method used to contact any personnel at ScotiaBank was easily overlooked by users.
As a result, users could not easily engage with that feature enough. In our solution, we created a system that will personally assign a client with an advisor based on their personal banking preferences. Allowing users to have effective access to managing their wealth.
Personalized Advisors and Contact
In our design, making sure that our users have all the relevant information to select the best advisor that suits their needs is important. Not only can the user select from a wide range of personalized advisors with different skill sets, but they can also choose whichever method of contact is the easiest for them. Ensuring usefulness and usability at all times.
Select Advisor and Chat
Finally…… Personalized and convenient wealth management at your fingertips. Our user will be able to reach out to their advisor whenever they want, however they want for their wealth management needs.
In doing so, we successfully solved our user’s pain point and they will be able to navigate this feature on ScotiaBank’s mobile app with ease.
